As a follow up to our Community Action Poverty Simulation events, there will be another food and clothing drive to benefit KCC students.

Food donated will be used to supply the campus food pantry.  The most needed food items include:  bottled water, granola bars, juice boxes, cereal, ravioli, ready to eat meals, oatmeal, canned fruit and soup, chips, snacks, PB&J, pasta and sauce, and minute rice. The pantry is especially in need of personal hygiene products such as deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, and period products.

Clothing donated should be in good condition and have been washed prior to donation.  Clothing can be casual or business appropriate - currently looking for all sizes and types of items, including shoes, outerwear, and accessories.  Specifically requested items include dress clothes in middle school, junior's and plus sizes and dress shoes. Clothing donated will be used for the second pop-up of the Cavalier's Closet, April 2-4 in the Cavalier Room.

Food and clothes can be dropped off at any of the following locations between now and April 1:

  • Barrel outside of the Food Pantry (L108)
  • Library - front counter
  • Barrel by W102 - Division Office
  • Barrel across from L355

We also welcome donations of hangers and shopping bags!
