Join us for our next KCC Common Read event! On Wednesday, March 27th, at 11:30 am, in the Iroquois Room, join us for a panel discussion in which we explore and celebrate various forms of family structures, shedding light on the challenges, joys, and unique dynamics that shape them. Our panelists reflect a diverse array of families, and will share about their journeys as parents (step-parents, single parents, same-sex parents, teen parents, and more) as well as their experiences with co-parenting, blending families, adoption, and the foster system.
Lunch from JR's Chicken is provided to all attendees.
This event is part of the KCC Common Read program, jointly sponsored by the Center for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and the Miner Memorial Library. Chapter 3: Family discusses the ways that families are represented in popular media and the ways that our workplaces, organizations, and legislatures could work together to better support the family of today. Copies of our Common Read book, Beyond Diversity, are available for free in the library - stop by and pick one up!
We appreciate your help in making students aware of this event. Hope to see you there!
