It is that time again — time for annual performance appraisals of administrators, professional/technical and supportive staff.

Completed appraisals are to be submitted to the Human Resources Office by June 1st for non-supervisory staff (full and part-time) and June 15th for supervisory personnel.

Evaluation process:

The process includes reflection on your accomplishments, how you met/exceeded last year's goals, and what specific goals/objectives await you in the coming fiscal year.

KCC's Strategic goals for FY25:

  • Improve student success through increased enrollment, retention, transfer, and completion rates.
  • Create diverse, inclusive, and equitable teaching, learning, and work environments.
  • Improve physical and virtual teaching and learning spaces.
  • Increase visibility and value in community.
  • Provide development opportunities to enhance KCC employee skills and knowledge.
     

    You should consult with your immediate supervisor for their deadline which allows time for all levels of supervision to review evaluations before the appropriate Human Resources deadline.  Electronic evaluation forms are located on the HR Portal page under Documents.

    If you had not received a copy of your updated position description as a result of the recent Compensation & Classification Study, please contact Janet in HR at ext. 8124.  If the position description is not accurate, your supervisor should make proposed revisions and submit them to Human Resources with the evaluation.  

    The process will be as follows:

    1.  Complete a self-evaluation.

    2.  Submit it as a Word document to your immediate supervisor. Schedule a meeting with them to discuss performance, review the completed tasks, establish new goals through March 2025 and complete the final evaluation. Note: Input/support from department directors should be solicited prior to this meeting.

    3.  Sign the completed evaluation, get your immediate supervisor's signature, plus the appropriate department director's.  Keep a copy (or save it electronically). Your supervisor should do the same (for use during next year's evaluation process).

    4.  Deliver a paper copy to Human Resources by the appropriate due date.
