Peer reviewers with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), our accreditor, will be on campus for a site visit on Nov. 18 and 19 and will be touring the Riverfront Campus. Dr. Lesley Cooper and Rylee Mann in the Institutional Effectiveness office have been preparing the Assurance Argument document with a team of faculty and staff. Now, it's time for everyone to get involved. Here's what you can do to help.

  • Read and provide feedback.
    • The assurance argument is comprised of five criteria. Each criteria have a document that needs to be reviewed in a professional, meaningful, and thoughtful way. All the documents are now available for review on the Institutional Effectiveness portal page.  Please read them and provide your feedback on the review form.
  • Help and you could win!
    • If you read the documents, and provide professional, thoughtful feedback for at least 3 documents, you will be entered into a drawing for an Amazon Kindle.
  • Know some important things about KCC.
    • The peer reviewer may ask any of us about KCC's mission, vision and values statements, or want to know if we can tell them about our general education goals and strategic priorities. It's a great time to learn, or refresh your memory about, these important components. A printed poster is available for easy reference.
    • Review the poster and be ready – Dr. Boyd may stop you in the hallways for a pop quiz!

Questions about the visit can be directed to Dr. Lesley Cooper.
