Employee Satisfaction Survey Results

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Noel Levitz Employee Satisfaction Survey. In total, 198 KCC employees responded to it. Again this year, employee satisfaction at KCC is strong, with our scores trending higher than our comparison group.
The results indicate a positive trend in employee satisfaction at KCC with an overall satisfaction score of 4.10, compared to the comparison group mean of 3.84. This shows that we have not only met but exceeded benchmarks, indicating significant improvement. Notably, we saw higher levels of employee satisfaction in all 52 of the statements with 49 of the 52 statements being statistically significantly higher than our peers. Even the lowest satisfaction score among our employees was 3.13, which is significantly better than the comparison group's 2.87. We consistently ranked higher in employee satisfaction across all 52 statements and the importance rankings were similar between us and our comparison groups.
In terms of work environment, the survey results were also impressive. We observed increases in all 21 statements, with 20 out of the 21 categories showing statistically significant improvements. The lowest satisfaction score in this section was 3.32, again higher than our peers' score of 3.09. Our satisfaction ratings were higher than the comparison group in every single statement surveyed. Additionally, the importance rankings for work environment factors were similar between KCC employees and those in the comparison groups, highlighting a consistent understanding of workplace priorities.
While the results are overwhelmingly positive, the survey also drew attention to areas for potential improvement. Specifically, there is a need to provide additional training and support for supervisors, particularly those who are new to supervisory roles. This will help ensure they are well-equipped to manage their teams effectively. In addition, responses showed that it is important to offer professional development opportunities for employees to prepare them for career advancement.
Overall, KCC remains a great place to work. I'm proud to work here, and seems like you are, too. The statement, "I am proud to work at KCC" received a 4.27 employee satisfaction rating, compared to 4.08 rating of our peers. Together, we have more exciting work ahead!
