Document Shredding available
Shark Shredding will be at KCC on Friday, December 13 to shred KCC department documents. The approved application for authority to dispose of records along with the certificate for disposal are located on the Business Office Portal site. Please remember you are only authorized to dispose of the records listed on the certificate for disposal. Although the application for authority may indicate a record could be disposed of after a certain timeframe, the certificate for disposal indicates which records may be disposed of at this time. The business office has acquired approval from the State of IL for the current certificate of disposal.
Pease email Juli Gereg by November 20 with how many copy paper size boxes your department will have to shred. Boxes will need to be brought to the Cavalier Room on December 12. The Cavalier Room will be secured. Contact Police and Public Safety at extension 8190 to schedule a time to drop off boxes. Shark Shredding will be collecting the documents from the Cavalier Room on December 13.
You do not need to remove paper clips, staples, rubber bands, metal fasteners, binder clips or hanging file folders.
If you want boxes returned, label the boxes with language indicating box should be returned to the department. Example: Return box to Business Office
If you have any questions, please contact Juli Gereg at ext. 8122 or Michelle Weishaar at ext. 8123
