***UPDATE***

The capacity test has concluded.  Thank you for your help and cooperation.  We will share the results of the test when we receive them.

***UPDATE***

Received notice that the capacity test will begin at 11:00am and will last until 1:00pm.  If able, please have your electrical items turned off by 11:00.  Thank you again for your cooperation.

Tomorrow is our annual, mandatory, load curtailment day.  This is the day that we have to shut down as much as we can to see if we can achieve the electrical (load) reduction goal our utility provider has set for us.  The college receives money for these events, and the payment is based on what we can shed.  Unfortunately we do not pick the days, or times, of the tests and the notice is typically short.

Tomorrow, 12/11, at a time not yet know to us we will be shutting down the college lighting and HVAC systems for a two hour duration.  Understanding that finals are happening, we are NOT asking you to turn off classroom lighting, computers, or anything that will adversly affect the student testing environment.  We will monitor temps in the building ensuring they do not get too low.  If so. we have plans in place to balance temps if needed.

We need your help!  We are asking that while at your desks and in your offices, or in an unused classroom, to turn off any unnecessary lighting or electrical devices.  Every little bit helps and it will greatly help the college meet it's goal.  Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
