Following Professor Frances Hebert's retirement, Professor Ken West has graciously accepted the role as the new faculty advisor for Phi Theta Kappa honor society.
"I am excited to support the collaboration and leadership that Jackie Montemayor and Ken West will bring to the forefront as they encourage, support and guide our honor students to the next level of discovery and possibilities as a Five Star Chapter!" said Dr. Quincy Rose Sewell in making the announcement.
She continued: "Please join me in thanking Professor Frances Hebert for her many years of service as PTK Advisor and congratulating Professor West!"
Phi Theta Kappa is the premier honor society recognizing the academic achievement of students at associate degree-granting colleges and helping them to grow as scholars and leaders. The honor society has more than 3.8 million members and nearly 1,300 chapters in 11 countries, with approximately 220,000 active members in the nation's colleges.
