Congratulations to Bryce Shafer, who was named co-MVP of the 2025 Amateur Baseball League World Series!
As a member of the Beecher Muskies, Bryce is sharing the honor with catcher Marty Coyle. Pitching for the Muskies, Bryce delivered several standout performances on the mound—pitching in relief on back-to-back days and earning three of the team's five tournament wins.
On Aug. 2, Bryce threw the final four innings in a tense 10–9 victory over the Chicago Clout. The next day, he shut out the Berea (Ohio) Blue Sox during the final four innings of the championship game.
In total, Bryce threw 145 pitches over the two outings.
Bryce is KCC's director of athletics and head baseball coach.
