Hispanic Heritage Month Event Sept. 22

Join us on Monday, September 22 for an engaging program with Dr. Rita D. Hernández—scholar, educator, and community historian—whose work amplifies the voices of Latina leaders.

The program will take place from noon - 1pm in the KCC Auditorium.

In her latest book Chicago Latina Trailblazers: Testimonios of Political Activism, Dr. Hernández shares the powerful stories of Chicago women whose political activism transformed their communities and beyond.

During the presentation, Dr. Hernández will share her own testimonio (personal story), provide insight into the women featured in her book, and reflect on her decades of work in social justice and education. The program will conclude with a Q&A session and book signing.
