Following is a summary of topics addressed at KCC's Board of Trustees meeting, Sept. 16, 2025.
Action Items. The Board approved the following:
- Equipment purchases for Phase III of Manufacturing Training Academy renovations
- Wayfinding design and bid development services
- Lease agreement with Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity
- Next step in the process to issue general obligation bonds
Updates. Vice Presidents said…
- Kari Nugent gave a KCC Foundation update, highlighting recent activities and events.
- Dr. Lesley Cooper gave a Fall Census Day enrollment report from the Institutional Effectiveness office, noting a 7.2% increase in headcount and 5.5% increase in credit hours from last fall.
- After a recent visit with accreditors, Respiratory Therapy faculty learned that they surpassed all the accreditation benchmarks.
- The courtyard landscaping and lighting project has been completed in the front courtyard.
