The latest technology added to the division is called a Mechatronic system, sometimes referred to as an FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System). It integrates components from at least 4 different classes. This system will serve as the final project for the Post-Associate Certificate program Electrical Engineering Technology is developing. The manufacturer, TII, had a different version of this system that KCC's own, Pat Klette, helped design some time ago. With TII's help, & guidance form our advisory committee, Professor Klette modified the design and worked with TII to create the version that KCC recently received. This Mechatronic System will be located in the PLC/Automation lab that is currently under construction in the Technology hallway & is expected to be completed this December.
