Following is a summary of topics addressed at KCC's Board of Trustees meeting, Oct. 21, 2025.
Action Items. The Board approved the following:
- Grant awards
- Property and Casualty insurance policies
- Phase IV of the Manufacturing Training Academy renovations
- Supplemental Tax Provision
- Protection, Health and Safety projects for 2026
- Lease terms for WIOA's Livingston County office
- Academic Calendar for 2026-27
President's Report. Dr. Boyd said…
- The new corporate training room refresh is a comfortable and accommodating space to host trainings, workshops and seminars.
- KCC is a finalist for the CEJA Hub grant and is working with community partners to become the 14th hub in the state.
- The college received an AA minus bond rating from Standard and Poor's, which is an excellent rating.
- We are in the final steps for the college's financial audit. Congratulations to Beth Nunley and the Business Office team for their hard work.
- Spring 2026 registration is open!

- ICCTA training is available for the Trustees. The next ICCTA meeting is happening on Nov. 13 and 14.
