Congratulations to Professor Mike Miller as he has been appointed chairperson of the Professional Engineer (PE) Environmental Engineering Committee for the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), marking a significant leadership role in the national licensure process for engineers. Miller's appointment reflects both his professional expertise and his commitment to advancing standards in engineering practice.

NCEES is responsible for developing and administering the examinations required for engineering and surveying licensure across all 50 states and in several international jurisdictions. Working alongside organizations such as ABET, which accredits engineering education programs, and state boards of registration that issue licenses. NCEES plays a central role in maintaining professional standards within the field. 

As chairperson, Miller will serve a three-year term leading a nationwide committee of volunteer engineers responsible for preparing the PE Environmental Engineering exam. In this capacity, he will coordinate committee activities, oversee the development and review of exam materials, and represent the committee's work and perspectives to state and federal agencies.
