​This is a friendly reminder that Canvas Studio has replaced VidGrid as KCC's video platform. VidGrid will be officially retired at the end of Summer 2026.

Migration update (completed step): The Canvas Studio migration team has finished updating the URL mappings for the videos that were migrated. This "behind the scenes" work helps support updating VidGrid links and embeds to their new Canvas Studio locations.

Archive: We will also maintain a complete local archive copy of all VidGrid content in case access is needed in the future.

What you should do now (recommended next steps):

1. Use the FAQs for quick answers and how-tos: I've created a 📄Canvas Studio Migration FAQs page you can reference and share. It includes where to access Studio, why some videos did not migrate, how to move older VidGrid videos, Collections naming, embed view options, and training links.
2. Check your Canvas Studio library (My Library): In Canvas, click the Studio button in the blue global navigation to confirm your account and videos.
3. Spot-check your active course(s) for older VidGrid links: If you still see VidGrid videos embedded or linked in a course, please note these will stop working once VidGrid is retired at the end of Summer 2026.
4. Plan ahead if you copy course content into Fall 2026 shells: If you typically copy a prior term course into your Fall 2026 course shell, we recommend doing that sooner than you normally would. This gives you time to review your course content and confirm your video links and embeds are working as expected.
5. Decide what to do with videos that were not migrated (older than two years): Only videos that were created or viewed in the past two years were migrated. If you want to keep using older videos, the best option is to move them into Canvas Studio before the end of Summer 2026 while we still have VidGrid access.

Getting started with Canvas Studio: Please enroll in the mini self-paced training course, Studio Academy, using the steps below.

Once logged in to Canvas:

1. Select the Help menu.
2. Choose Training Services Portal (you may be prompted to authorize the first time).
3. In the portal, locate Studio Academy and click Enroll Now.
